2023 REAL ESTATE STAGING ASSOCIATION (RESA®) MEMBERSHIP LEVELS & COSTS


RESA® HOME STAGER MEMBERSHIP (INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP)

COST: $190.00 for a 1-year membership in 2023.

This membership is open to individuals who own a home staging business, work for a home staging business, or are just starting in the field. It is also available to interior designers and decorators who provide staging services.

Please note that you are not required to have been in business for more than a year, and there are no specific classes or designations required to join RESA®.


RESA-PRO® MEMBERSHIP AND DESIGNATION (INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP)

COST: $250.00 for a 1-year membership in 2023.

The RESA-PRO™ designation elevates the credibility of professional stagers, emphasizing higher ethical standards and practices. This membership is accessible to individuals who own or work for home staging businesses, as well as interior designers and decorators offering staging services, particularly those who operate with business insurance and contracts.

RESA-PRO designees enjoy several benefits, including:

1. Eligibility to apply as a RESA® Approved Instructor, teaching the RESA® MCE Program to real estate agents.

2. Participation in the Sold Over List Price Club..

To obtain the RESA-PRO™ designation, you must meet these six mandatory requirements:

1. Pass the ethics exam (an open-book, online exam with study materials provided).

2. Agree to adhere to the RESA® Code of Ethics, which includes restrictions on the use of stock photos in your marketing materials.

3. Possess a minimum of one year in business as a professional home stager (supported by documentation such as a Business License, LLC, CORP, or Legal Partnership) or have worked for a RESA-PRO™ for at least two years.

4. Provide proof of home staging business insurance.

5. Maintain a business checking account.

6. Complete your profile on the RESA® directory.

Please note that documentation of your business structure, insurance, business checking account, and website and marketing materials must be maintained by your employer.

The RESA® Ethics class and exam are integral components in setting higher industry standards. RESA-PRO™ is the sole designation governed and regulated by the Real Estate Staging Association®, ensuring that RESA-PRO™ designees maintain the utmost ethical standards.

Key details about the RESA-PRO™ Ethics Exam:

- The exam consists of 20 questions.

- A minimum score of 80% is required to pass.

- You can refer to the RESA-PRO™ Ethics Class PDF file while taking the exam.

- You have 45 minutes to complete the exam.

- The class is offered online and will be emailed to you upon joining this membership level.


RESA® ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP)

COST: $250.00 for a 1-year membership in 2023.

This membership is for any person who is interested in the purposes of the Real Estate Staging Association® but who does not offer staging services, including but not limited to licensed real estate agents, photographers, flooring/furniture vendors, financial services companies, paint companies, insurance industry businesses, educational institutions/providers, and real estate builders, developers, lenders, appraisers, inspectors and title companies.
